Please be aware that most if not all car hire suppliers at Alicante and Valencia operate a fuel ‘Full to Empty’ regime, whereby on arrival at the airport to collect your car you will be expected to pay for a full tank of fuel. On return, the company will refund you for any unused fuel, less a service charge.
If you do not take out the hire company’s own ‘fully comprehensive’ insurance, normally about €8 – €10 a day,they will ask for a large holding deposit on your credit card, normally somewhere in the region of €5,000. Take these two things into consideration when determining the overall cost of your hire car.
